The House approved two abortion-related bills in response to the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The first measure, the Women’s Health Protection Act, turns the 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion protections into law. It passed 219-210 with one Democrat opposing. The second bill guarantees the right to inter-state travel for abortion services, and it passed 223-205 with three Republicans joining all of the Democrats in favor. Members also passed a suspension bill that would temporarily suspend certain U.S. tariffs on baby formula. close
