Officials from the Veterans Affairs Department’s Resolution Management team appeared at a House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing on what is being done to address sexual harassment at the VA. According to a Government Accountability Office for Education, Workforce and Income Security team report, approximately 17 percent of employees with the Veterans Affairs Department say they have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. The witnesses spoke about outreach via online training, and mailers and posters to spotlight the misbehavior around harassment. They also talked about updating the reporting requirements and recognizing a culture that allows harassment to occur. close
