Oregon Gubernatorial Debate

Three candidates in Oregon’s 2022 race for governor participated in a debate hosted by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association in Welches, Oregon. Those debating were Democrat Tina Kotek, Republican Christine Drazan, and Betsy Johnson, an unaffiliated candidate. The three responded to questions from newspaper editors around Oregon on topics including homelessness, climate change, and gun control. The nonpartisan Cook Political Report with Amy Walter has rated the race “Lean Democratic.”
