President Biden promised federal assistance to rebuild eastern Kentucky communities devastated by flash floods. The president’s commitment came as he toured a neighborhood damaged by rising waters that began in late July 2022. More than 35 people were killed in what is known as Kentucky’s Appalachia region. Governor Andy Beshear (D) and Representative Harold Rogers (R-KY) also spoke about the devastation. close
