Members of a House Financial Services subcommittee asked witnesses about a variety of issues facing advocates, including challenges in accessing federal funding, a lack of availability of affordable housing, the importance of employment, and the impact of addiction. Over 500,000 people are reportedly homeless in the U.S., and the numbers had increased since the COVID-19 pandemic. close
