Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) called the taxes, health care, and climate bill a “balanced deal” as he spoke to reporters after President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law. Senator Manchin spoke about the process of crafting the legislation after he walked away from talks around the Build Back Better legislation. He said the Inflation Reduction Act would address the nation’s energy needs, decrease the deficit, and help address climate change. When asked about the raid at former President Trump’s home at Mar-A-Lago, he said, “It’s very serious.” close
