California State Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) said, “Republican AG’s, I believe, have failed to defend and protect reproductive freedom,” during a discussion on abortion rights at the Netroots Nation Conference in Pittsburgh. Mr. Bonta was joined in conversation by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D), New York Attorney General Letitia James (D), and Connecticut Attorney General William Tong (D). Topics included protecting abortion providers, state sovereignty, the importance of down-ballot election races, and other established rights that may be in jeopardy due to the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade, such as marriage equality. close
