Following a briefing at Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters, President Biden said that “Hurricane Ian could be the deadliest hurricane in Florida’s history,” with reports of “substantial loss of life.” The president praised the federal and local response on the ground and that he had spoken with Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to offer help.
