President Biden announced his administration was awarding $2.8 billion to 20 U.S. companies across 12 states to expand battery manufacturing for electric vehicles and the electrical grid. He was joined by Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and leaders from companies that were recipients of the grant. The grant was funded by the bipartisan infrastructure law, which became law in November of 2021. close
