State Opening of Parliament
Commentator Vivian White narrated the BBC broadcast of the British State Opening of Parliament. In an annual ceremony including a procession to Westminster, Queen Elizabeth II opened Parliament with a speech concerning the need for economic revitalization and the need for peace in Northern Ireland. Mr. White discussed the state of the British government with Lord Blake and Lord Browne-Wilkinson.
