As each committee member detailed the findings, January 6 Subcommittee for Referrals Chair Jamie Raskin (D-MD) laid out the committee’s criminal referrals to the Department of Justice, which include “conspiracy to defraud the United States,” and conspiracy to “incite” and “assist” in an insurrection against the government. Rep. Raskin also announced the committee is referring four sitting members of Congress with significant information pertaining to the attack for “appropriate sanction by the House Ethics Committee for failure to comply with lawful subpoenas.”
