“The members of this contact group are standing up for a world where rules matter…and were people can choose their own path, free from tyranny and aggression,” said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during a press conference from Ramstein Air Base in Germany after a meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (UDCG). The secretary, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Mark Milley, highlighted the efforts the U.S. and allied countries are making to help Ukraine in its fight against Russia, including additional military aid packages from various countries. The contact group consists of defense ministers and military leadership of over 40 countries united in the support of Ukraine. close
