House Oversight Committee Meets to Consider Its Rules

The new rules included ending remote participation in public hearings for members and witnesses. Chair James Comer (R-KY) said he would consider remote participation for certain situations, including medical reasons. Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who is battling cancer, offered an amendment to allow lawmakers to participate remotely, but the amendment failed to garner enough votes.
