Second gentleman Douglas Emoff along with Labor Secretary Marty Walsh and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra all called on Congress to pass paid family and medical leave as they marked the 30th anniversary of the the passage of the 1993 Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Secretary Becerra discussed the importance of FMLA and his vote in support of it when he was a U.S. congressman. Representatives Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Lauren Underwood (D-IL) and other labor leaders also spoke. close
