Senators spoke to reporters on Capitol Hill following a closed-door briefing on the shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon and other high-altitude objects over the past week. Several of them called on President Biden to address the nation on the issue. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said more is being learned about the objects, that “our defense and intelligence agencies are focused like a laser,” and that there is no “physical harm to Americans on the ground.” close
