House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) led a congressional delegation of new members to the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona. This is Rep. McCarthy’s first trip to the border as Speaker of the House. He and the new lawmakers held a news conference after touring a section of the border with federal immigration enforcement officials. They all urged immediate action to address border security issues including fentanyl trafficking. close
