President Biden delivered remarks in Warsaw on the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, part of his visit to Poland and Ukraine in support of Ukraine’s efforts to expel Russian forces. In his remarks at Warsaw’s Royal Castle, President Biden said the U.S. and its NATO allies would continue to aid in Ukraine’s defense, and that Russia’s invasion would not shake the alliance. He vowed to continue support for Ukraine, and noted his planned hosting of the 2024 NATO Summit in the U.S. President Biden’s remarks followed a bilateral meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda and an earlier meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which resulted in a further $500 million commitment in aid to Ukraine. close
