“My budget reflects what we can do, to lift the burden on hard-working Americans,” said President Biden as he highlighted his fiscal year 2024 budget request to Congress during a visit to the Finishing Trades Academy in Philadelphia. The president called on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to sit down with him and go over their budgets together to find common agreement. President Biden touched on key elements of his budget request, including investments in clean energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, public safety, workforce development and restoring the child tax credit. close
