The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee held a hearing on the aviation workforce, following an uptick in close calls between airplanes landing or taking off from airports. Aviation representatives testified about educating, recruiting, and retaining aviation workers in the industry and at the Federal Aviation Administration. They also talked about ways to diversify the aviation industry, protecting airline employees, and aerospace national security. close
