The bank did not have enough collateral to meet that … and they were shut down,” said Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr. His testimony came before the Senate Banking Committee. He was joined by other officials from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Treasury Department to discuss the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, regional banking, and banking regulation reform. close
