Tennessee Democratic state representatives Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, and Gloria Johnson spoke to reporters in the White House driveway following their meeting with President Biden. The three, who earlier in the month led protest chants in favor of gun reform from the chamber floor of the Tennessee House of Representatives, faced expulsion for their actions by Republican House members. Jones and Pearson were expelled but were later unanimously re-appointed to their respective seats by the Shelby County Commission and the Nashville Metro Council. Johnson narrowly escaped expulsion in the vote. close
