Mary Denigan-Macauley, health care director at the Government Accountability Office (GAO), testified on a new report of how federal agencies are addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). She and other health experts testified before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. The subcommittee is investigating the threat AMR poses to the nation’s public health system. Topics included ways to reduce overprescribing antibiotics, antibiotic alternatives, data collecting, and tracking AMR in hospitals. close
