President Vladimir Putin delivered remarks on “Victory Day,” a Russian holiday that celebrates the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. He commemorated the Soviet veterans who fought in World War II, as well as the Russian troops who died in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, drawing a comparison between the two conflicts.
