Following their weekly caucus luncheon, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his leadership team spoke about raising the debt limit. Senator McConnell said he anticipates, “the bill passing and coming over to us.” He also applauded House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for his work on the negotiations, saying the speaker “should be congratulated on capturing a number of priorities.” Other topics included energy investment and student loan forgiveness. close
