“I know we can bring this country back,” said former Vice President Mike Pence as he announced his 2024 presidential campaign during an event in Ankeny, Iowa. Though the former vice president touted the accomplishments of the Trump administration, he criticized President Trump for his actions on January 6, 2021, when explaining why he is running against the former president. Mr. Pence went on to say, “anyone who asks someone else to put them over the Constitution should never be president of the United States again.” close
