President Biden Speaks to Reporters in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

As he left evening church services in Rehoboth Beach, President Biden spoke briefly with reporters, answering questions on the heavy rains that had trapped Burning Man festival attendees in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, Chinese President Xi’s absence from the upcoming G-20 summit in New Delhi, his upcoming trip to India and Vietnam, and Ukrainian President Zelensky replacing his defense minister. The president said he was “disappointed” that President Xi would not attend the summit but that “I am going to get to see him.” He also explained that he was not on vacation in Rehoboth but that he was there because “the Secret Service has torn my house up in a good way to make it secure.” NOTE: The audio on reporters' questions is difficult to hear. close
