Six former attorneys general took part in discussion about the role and evolution of the office of attorney general. They spoke about the appointment process, their relationship with the President, and the FBI, and crime. There was an extensive discussion about the FBI and the tenure of its long term director, J. Edgar Hoover. At times, there was considerable disagreement among the former officials. This program was moderated by Professor Miller and was the second forum of former attorneys general held at the Hastings Law School. close
