Governor Gaston Caperton addressed the West Virginia legislature and related his administration’s accomplishments and plans for the future. The Governor talked about how people living outside of West Virginia see their state. He talked about recent accomplishments of three local college sports teams. The Governor went on to talk about how to strengthen West Virginias infrastructure, and how construction jobs would help the states economy. Governor Gaston asked for 12 million dollars of lottery proceeds to go towards education. He then asked that the schools be used at night for adult education. Law enforcement and health care were also included topics in the address. close
