Attorney General Janet Reno addressed a National Press Club (NPC) luncheon on the Freedom of Information Act. Prior to Attorney General Reno’s remarks Press Club President Gil Klein presented the NPC Freedom of the Press Award to Zairian journalist Kalala Mbenga Kalao for his work reporting on corruption in Zaire, and to reporters from the Minneapolis Star Tribune for their investigative journalism on the influence of gifts and contributions to the University of Minnesota. Following Attorney General Reno’s remarks she took questions from members of the audience as moderated by Mr. Klein. close
