Secretary of State Warren Christopher announced the resumption of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). The talks were suspended the previous month after 29 Muslims were killed at a mosque in Hebron on February 25. The United Nations took up a resolution on the killings today. The secretary discussed the views of the United States government on the resolution. He also announced the agreement of the Arab states to resume their bilateral negotiations with Israel in April. close
