Retired General Patrick Brady talked about commemorative monuments to be dedicated at the 50th Anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy, France. Pierre Salinger addressed the audience via videotape because of a trip he made to Turkey during the news conference. June 6, 1994 marks the 50th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of Normandy, France. More than 250,000 Allied soldiers, sailors and airmen took part in the invasion. close
