over the ceremony. The former president had a stroke on Tuesday, April 19, 1994 and died three days later.
The president asked that his body not lie in State in the U.S. Capital Rotunda. Instead, mourners filed by the casket in the Nixon Library adjacent to his childhood home of Yorba Linda, CA. He was buried on the grounds of the library next to the grave of his wife, Pat who died earlier this year. The ceremony was replete with full military honors.
