The evening before C-SPAN’s 50th Anniversary D-Day Remembered special, the programming was previewed. This preview outlined highlights of the two-day eleven-hour coverage. The programming includes interviews, a video recently shot in Normandy and on the beaches, newsreel footage from 1944, and popular war-time songs of the period. Following the preview, three World War II journalists spoke about their memories of D-Day. Mr. LeSueur landed on Omaha Beach at 6:30 am June 6th, 1944. close
