In his radio address to the nation today, President Bill Clinton spoke on the commitment to break gridlock and pass legislation that targets the problems facing our nation. The President cited the recent passage of the assault weapons ban and previous passages of the deficit reduction plan and the economic plan to create jobs. The President also spoke on his commitment to redressing the inequities toward women in the current health care system. The President stated that the Administration has increased funds to prevent and treat diseases that afflict women and has launched a national action plan on breast cancer. close
