Speaking to law enforcement officials during the National Police Officers Memorial Service on Capitol Hill, President Clinton spoke of the need to work harder to “restore the fabric of civilized life in this country.” The president noted that our country is moving in the right direction with the Justice Deprtment’s community policing grants and with the passage ofthe Brady Bill. The president touched on the ban on assault weaponsand other key elements of the Crime Bill. close
