During a discussion on economic future of U.S.-Canadian relations, Mr. Chretien apoke about trade with the U.S. and, specifically, the state of Michigan. The Detroit Economic Club sponsored speeches by the U.S. Ambassador to Canada, James Blanchard, and the Canadian Ambassador to the United States, Raymond Chretian The American Ambassador to Canada, James Blanchard is a former congressman from Michigan, in addition he served as governor of his state for eight years. Raymond Chretian has served as Ambassador to Belgium, Mexico, and Zaire. In addition he served on Canada’s permanent mission to the United Nations. close
