President William Jefferson Clinton welcomed delegates from Girls Nation to the White House East Room. In remarks to the group, the President reflected on his first visit to the White House 31 years ago as a delegate to Boys Nation. He said he hoped the group would always be involved in public service throughout their lives and would work to preserve the traditions and values of our country.
