In his radio address from Camp David, President Clinton focused on the House’s rejection of the Crime Bill, calling it a “procedural trick orchestrated by the National Rifle Association and intensely pushed by the Republican congressional leadership.” The President said the American people have to make it clear to members of Congress from both parties that they favor the overall Crime Bill. He reassured citizens that he will continue to fight for the bill’s passage. close
