President Clinton, Senate Minority Leader Bob Dole (R-KS), Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell (D-ME), and House Speaker Tom Foley (D-WA) spoke with reporters about the passage of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). President Clinton commended Senators Mitchell and Dole and members of the Senate for their bipartisan victory on GATT.
