The School Bus crew talked with Brad Andes about Meteor Crater. The crater was formed about 50,000 years ago when a meteorite traveling at about 43 thousand miles an hour, dropped in from the east and struck the earth. The meteorite itself was about 80 to 100 feet in diameter, but it left behind a crater 4100 feet across, 570 feet deep and a little over three miles in circumference. close
