US Ambassador Walter Mondale reported on President Bill Clinton’s meeting with Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama of Japan. The ambassador said the two leaders covered several areas including the Mutual Security Treaty between Japan and the United States, the North Korean agreement, auto sector negotiations and other trade issues. Following the ambassador’s remarks, Undersecretary of State Peter Tarnoff joined him in answering questions. close
