Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. |Mr. Stuart Taylor, Legal Times, discussed a case before the Supreme Court today involving reverse discrimination. In the newspaper roundtable, Ms. Barbra Dudley, Greenpeace Executive Director and Mr. Eric Felten, Washington Times, discussed headlines from various papers across the country. Via telephone, Mr. Taylor discussed the report entitled "New Challenges: The Civil Rights Record of the Clinton Administration. In the final segment, Mr. Tad Devine, Democratic Political Consultant and Mr. Mike Murphy, Republican Political Consultant, talked about what makes an effective political advertisement. close
