Center For Disease Control Partner Prisiclla Holman talked about cooperation between the public and private research and care efforts to deal with the AIDS virus. National AIDS Policy Coordinator Patsy Fleming spoke about the continuing gravity of this disease, especially the growing incidence of women infected with AIDS and its effects on society. After her remarks, the audience participated in the discussion. This conference on women and AIDS was part of a national labor leaders conference. Representatives from 60 international unions, federal health officials, and others gathered to examine labor responses to AIDS, as well as the legal and social ramifications of the disease. close
