Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama and Foreign Minister Yohei Kono opened the 132nd session of the Japanese Parliament. The Diet is located in the Japanese capital, Tokyo. Prime Minister Murayama talked about how his government would deal with the earthquake that struck Kobe earlier in the week.
