Laura Tyson, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, talked to reporters about the latest economic figures. The economy grew at an annual rate of 4 percent with only a 2.7 percent rise in inflation. Health and Human Services Secretary, Donna Shalala, previewed a meeting between governors and President Clinton about welfare reform scheduled for Saturday.
