Senator Bob Kerrey (D-NE) talked to reporters about the president’s proposed 1996 budget. He praised many parts of the proposal, including helping the “middle class” and consolidating the federal government. However he was also disappointed because the president did not take long terms forecasts of entitlement spending into account in this budget. close
