Senator Specter, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, talked about the Oklahoma City bombing and commented on upcoming hearings looking into the federal government’s response. He mentioned that the Department of Justice may have been too timid in it’s directives with respect to what the FBI could do in the area of surveillance and infiltration of organizations. He disagreed with the President on broad permissions with the Michigan Militia and other similar organizations. He also answered questions from the press. close
