Secretary Cisneros and others briefed reporters and answered questions about the release of a progress report on public housing revitalization efforts nationwide. He spoke briefly about HUD employees effected by the Oklahoma City bombing and efforts to help those families and get the department there back in operation. He then spoke on the improvements in public housing in the report. Mayor Morial spoke on the assistance from HUD that turned his city of New Orleans around. Assistant Secretary for HUD Shuldiner spoke on the specifics of the report. Questions were taken from the audience. close
