The U.S. House reconvened and continued consideration of amendments to H.R. 961, to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. The Boehlert Amendment regarding the designation of wetlands, protection of those lands, and allocations of funds for such protection remained the primary focus of debate. The House had agreed not to schedule any votes for this session. The House also engaged in a period of Special Order, during which time members could speak for up to five minutes on any subject. Following the completion of business for the day the House adjourned until 9am the following morning. close
