At the closing plenary session of the National Bar Association’s 70th annual convention, Anita Hill spoke about the ways judicial and legislative decisions affect the pursuit of a level playing field for people of color, and emphasized the importance of education. She addressed several social issues, including affirmative action and sexual harassment. The theme of the year was Empowerment: Justice for Our Time. The organization represented over 17,000 lawyers, judges, law students and legal professionals. close
